Counselors learn  how to develop a program that trains students in dispute resolution skills to resolve their own conflicts through the use of a mediation program run by other students.

Students and counselors learn the peer mediation process, conflict resolution skills and practice role play scenarios. Counselors also receive guidance on how to oversee a successful peer mediation program.
